March Update
3/3/2010 12:22:02 PM
I apologize for the delay in the newsletter.  February was a very chaotic month and between edits and sending DMCA take-down notices for pirated work, there has been little to no time to do the things I’d like.

Currently, I am continuing to work on Eternity and a Day.  The MS is quite long at 85k+ and will take some time to complete.  There is no release date as of yet, so stay tuned for future updates.  I can say that I’m excited about the project and hope readers will enjoy it as well.  It’s not always easy to rework a story that has this many characters and so much going on, but I truly believe it will pay off in the end.

As for submissions – I received word that the first test reader who read Crimson Sunrise gave it a thumbs up.  Now I am awaiting word from the second reader before I’ll learn if it will indeed be contracted.  If it is contracted, the MS will need a lot of work to be ready for release.  I submitted it to my editor as an extremely rough draft, which means new scenes will need to be written and the material will need to be flushed out.  As soon as I know more, I’ll pass the news along.

Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between had a fantastic virtual tour run and I’m delighted by the amount of interest that has been generated.  Thus far, the reader/reviewer response is good, and if it continues to do well I’ll be wrapping up the second story in the series, The Renfield Syndrome.  You can purchase Dead in kindle and paperback format at Amazon.com, as well as Eternal Press, All Romance E-Books, and Drive Through Fantasy.

As for what I’m working on now…I wish I could tell you something, but I can’t.  Right now, I’m trying to enjoy writing again and I think that’s going to require me taking a step back and surveying the issues I’m dealing with. Although I know many of you don’t want to hear it, the piracy issue does affect my writing adversely.  It is impossible to focus on stories when you know that after the hours of hard work and dedication they will only be “shared” on piracy sites, despite numerous notices of copyright infringement and take-down requests.

So, for the time being, I’ll be fiddling around with Crimson Sunrise and waiting to see if the muse strikes.  Thank you for making the release of Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between so fantastic.  I appreciate each and every person who took time to comment on the blogs I visited, as well as those who purchased a copy to read.

**Updated 3/4/10**

After contemplation, I am focusing my attention on The Renfield Syndrome and Crimson Sunrise.  My plan is to wrap up TRS within the next 8-12 weeks to submit to my press.  In light of the encouragement of those who enjoy Rhiannon as much as I do, I think it will be cathargic to slide back into her shoes for a while.  The story is outlined in my head and 25k in, so it's simply a matter of putting the rest to paper.

Be sure to keep an eye out for more updates on TRS in the future.

Happy Reading!

Jaime
